Morrison is pleased to announce the twelfth year of the highly anticipated Cooking for Kids, a series of unique dining experiences for adults benefiting thousands of Oregon’s most troubled children. For the 2008 season, some of the best local chefs in the greater Portland area will be paired with wine and spirits from Pacific Northwest. Each gourmet dinner will be hosted by the chef who will offer a cooking demonstration of several different courses. A representative from the winery or the distilled spirits maker will be in attendance to discuss their libation with each course.

Morrison Child and Family Services is the only organization in the Pacific Northwest to receive recognition from SAMHSA, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. We won the Science to Service Award in the Mental Health Promotion category for our implementation of the Incredible Years, a prevention and intervention program for preschool children at risk for developing severe behavioral problems.
